Welcome to Heathland Hebridean

Heathland Hebridean is a project to market the produce from a conservation grazing project embracing three flocks of Hebridean sheep found in the High Weald and at Chailey Common in the Low Weald of Sussex.
By grazing our rare breed flocks on these areas of lowland heath, we are supporting the conservation of one of Europe’s rarest wildlife habitats and the species that depend on it for survival.
Hebridean sheep are tough, hardy animals that thrive on heathland grazing. They are a recognised minority rare breed. We are sustaining the Hebridean breed and the future of our flocks by selling direct to our customers:
- 100% natural un-dyed wool via our on line shop
- a range of knitting and felting patterns for clothes, bags and accessories
- pedigree breeding stock
- hogget lamb and mutton

Our popular events include shearing and lambing open days where you can “Meet the Sheep”, learn about fibre crafts and visit heathland nature reserves.
We welcome visitors to see the animals for themselves. Take a look around our website where you will find more information about our flocks, events and how to find us.
